WORKING WITH CHILDREN
Hannah has an affinity with kids and enjoys working with them in really creative and unusual ways. She has worked with children for many years on arts projects and is often invited in to the school setting to inject some fresh thinking and unique methodology.

Projects across 28 years have included;
Transition projects, literacy initiatives, whole school celebrations, carnival and performance, Shadow Theatre, Animation, Textiles, Art and Philosophy, Crafts and total Environments.
Hannah works across the Primary and Secondary age range. Sometimes these projects have been with the organisation Creative Partnerships, Cumbria.
Hannah has furthered her professional practice of working in education by seeking out further training at York Steiner School and Schumacher College, Dartington. As well as BA hons. degree in Fine Art she holds further qualifications in "Safeguarding Children" and Paediatric First Aid. She has enhanced DBS.
An animation project run with Key stage 3 groups in three Cumbrian schools, with Signal Film and Media. Stop frame animating - involving light boxes, shadow puppets, OHP's and drawing.†
Hannah also works with groups of adults facilitating and supporting courses, workshops and theatrical events.
Over many years these have included Street Theatre, Lantern making, Ceremonial Gardens, Puppetry, Papercutting, Bookmaking, Performance, Theatre Design and Rites of Passage.
"For 28 years I have worked in many Public contexts, and often with children in schools. I have developed a rich palette of skills that enable participants in my sessions to feel supported and guided to take risks and grow.
My workshop practice, which is hands-on, energetic and based on simple, safe and green techniques is particularly suited to working with children. I ensure that real and satisfying results are achieved within each session, that the process is fun and varied and that the outcome is enjoyed as a celebration of a groupsí achievements.
I design my projects around a strong and clear armature so that all contributions are presented within a bold framework, ensuring the collaborative total harmonises well together. I have experience across the spectrum from early years to school leavers. I bring a welcoming ethos, choose accessible forms, cheap materials and fire everything up with buckets of imagination."
